Immobilized Markers

Here's a super simple project that could add a nice detail to your next WWII game.

Using some tank treads from the Rubicon German Stowage Set 1, I created some immobilized markers to indicate when tracked vehicles have been, well, immobilized.

There isn't much of a "how to" with this project; I basically glued some of the tank treads from the Rubicon German Stowage Set to some bases, primed, painted, and added flock.  The pictures tell the story.

The stowage set is awesome, and it will add a lot of detail to several models.

Some finished markers
Place the markers behind your immobilized vehicle to mark it as such.

Objective Prizes

I was asked to make an objective set as a prize for the upcoming Bolt Action Armor Tournament at Cold Wars.  So, I'm donating the following three objective markers.

When I asked what the event organizer wanted, I was told something "tanky."  Here is my artistic interpretation of "tanky" - all done on 60 mm circles in 1:56 scale.  My friend Thomas took the great photos.

First up: how about some blue prints for a Sherman Tank?

Next is a make-shift field repair station for broken armored vehicles.

And finally, a field depot full of tank parts and fuel.

4Ground Furniture

I built the 4Ground 28mm "Large Table A" and "Bannister Back (A) Chair" sets to create a Bolt Action objective. This was done to look like an impromptu map room.

Warlord Ruined Farmhouse

I assembled the Warlord Ruined Farmhouse plastic kit, which can be put together in several configurations, into the terrain piece shown below.

Considering the low price point ($24, I believe), this kit can become a great addition to your table.

Shown below is detail of the floor that I added from some scrapbook paper and craft sticks.

Using MiG pigments, I was able to create burn marks on the ruin walls.

4Ground Signs WIP

I'm taking a short break from a couple of my bigger projects to work on some simple scenery.

Although none of this will be award winners, with some flock and a little weathering they'll make nice additions to the table top. These pieces are all from 4Ground's 28 mm range.

I did have some fun with the sign posts; I wanted to have a sign that was truly plausible. So, with a little research, I came up with this post for a "T" intersection in Lison, France: 22 km to Carentan, 19 km to Saint Lo, and 56 km to Caen.

The other sign is a mini poster from my friend, John. It's the "A Tous les Francais" and ends with "Vive La France!."

All of these will fit nicely in Normandy scenery when they're done.
